In order to qualify for counseling you must meet these criteria:

1.  Homeowner(s) must be at least 62 years of age
2.  Person must own their home
3.  Home must not need too many repairs
4.  Homeowner(s) must not have Federal or State Tax Liens

Considering a HECM, call for an appointment. The counselor will go over:

1.  What is a HECM
2.  Eligibility requirements and how much you can borrow
3.  Assessing your financial needs
4.  Obtaining the HECM and how the proceeds are paid to you
5.  Fees charged and Interest Rates
6.  Repaying the Loan and making partial payments on the loan
7.  What if you Change your Mind
8.  You will receive a Certificate
